Can Jam Three-Peat for Mint Berry Jammers

Brian Keeth and Andy DiFronzo, competing as the Mint Berry Jammers, won their third straight Sly Fox Kan Jam title at the annual Sly Fox Can Jam Festival on the grounds of the Pottstown Brewery on September 28th. Second place went to Ryan Land and Karl Hanna. Keeth and DiFronzo, who placed fifth in the Kan Jam World Championships earlier this year, won their combined weight in beer, earning them 30 cases of Sly Fox cans!

The Can Jam Festival is a day-long event celebrating Sly Fox's status as one of the initial adopters of canned craft beer and features a noon to 9pm FREE music fest as well as the Kan Jam battles, which start early in the morning. Kan Jam is a sport much like horseshoes, played with barrel-shaped goals and flying discs.

The total of 100 teams entered this year, up from 64 in 2012, makes this relatively new Sly Fox event the second largest of its kind in the world. "It's my understanding that the Kan Jam World Championship in Buffalo had 108 teams this year," says Sly Fox Beer Ambassador Corey Reid, who runs the competition. "We intend to smash that number in 2014."
