Return to the Sly Fox Beer Legacy News Archive
Dollar sales were just shy of $1.3 million, a 35% jump from 2007. That dollar total is in line with and partially due to price increases across the board by Sly Fox on December 1, 2007, in reaction to the hops and malt price increases throughout the industry.
Overall sales are now 76% by volume to wholesalers and 24% to Sly Fox Brewhouse & Eatery in Phoenixville and Sly Fox Restuarant in Royersford, the company's two brewpubs. The wholesale percentage moves Sly Fox into the Microbrewery category in industry statistics maintained by the Brewers Association. Sly Fox was previously in the Large Brewpub category.
"Our steady and continued growth is very gratifying and we certainly want to express our appreciation to our wholesales, retailers and on-premise customers," said Managing Partner John Giannopoulos. "We will continue to try and produce the best products possible for them and all of our growing customer base. We are extremely grateful their support in these difficult economic times for everybody."
